Zamek w Budziszynie

Malowniczy zamek w Budziszynie, położony na skale nad Szprewą. To tu Bolesław Chrobry zawarł pokój z Niemcami w 1018 roku i przez krótki czas gród należał do Polski. Zwiedzaliśmy go w tegoroczne ferie. 

Das malerische Schloss in Bautzen, auf einem Felsen über der Spree gelegen. Hier schloss Bolesław Chrobry 1018 Frieden mit Deutschland und für kurze Zeit gehörte die Festung zu Polen. Wir haben es in den diesjährigen Ferien besucht. 

The picturesque castle in Bautzen, situated on a rock above the Spree. It was here that Bolesław Chrobry made peace with Germany in 1018 and for a short time the stronghold belonged to Poland. We visited it during this year's holidays.

Pamięć o poległych w bitwie pod Budziszynem 1945 r.

 W lutym tego roku, podczas ferii zimowych, byłem w Budziszynie i nawiedziłem pomnik poświęcony poległym żołnierzom 2 Armii Wojska Polskiego w bitwie pod Budziszynem oraz cmentarz wojskowy Armii Czerwonej. W czasie krwawej bitwy pod Budziszynem od 21 do 30 kwietnia 1945 roku polskie oddziały poniosły wysokie straty: 4902 poległych żołnierzy i 2798 zaginionych bez wieści. Była to ostatnia udana ofensywa niemiecka w czasie wojny. Cześć pamięci polskim żołnierzom!

In February this year, during the winter holidays, I was in Bautzen and visited the monument dedicated to the fallen soldiers of the 2nd Polish Army in the Battle of Bautzen and the military cemetery of the Red Army. During the bloody battle of Bautzen from April 21 to 30, 1945, Polish troops suffered heavy losses: 4,902 dead soldiers and 2,798 missing. It was the last successful German offensive of the war.

Im Februar dieses Jahres war ich in den Winterferien in Bautzen und habe das Denkmal für die Gefallenen der 2. polnischen Armee in der Schlacht bei Bautzen und den Soldatenfriedhof der Roten Armee besucht. Während der blutigen Schlacht bei Bautzen vom 21. bis 30. April 1945 erlitten polnische Truppen schwere Verluste: 4.902 Soldaten wurden getötet und 2.798 vermisst. Es war die letzte erfolgreiche deutsche Offensive des Krieges.
